Deck Adhesive By Permaroof - For Rubber Roofing

Permaroof water based deck adhesive is a high performance water based deck adhesive, it is suitable for application to timber roof decks, and for specific use with EPDM roofing systems.

Suitable for use on wood and ply main area roof decks.

Applications:

There are a few ways for application of roofing adhesive to membranes, and which method you choose will depend on the type of roofing project planned.

The water based deck adhesive can be applied either to the roof deck area, or to both the deck and membrane using a pad system for the detailed areas; and rollers for the larger expanse of a deck surface area.

FAQ: What is the difference between water based deck adhesive and bonding adhesive?

Bonding adhesives are a much stronger adhesive, used for bonding to most materials in addition to timber and is used around the edges of the EPDM, on up stands, bonding to brickwork or stone where an effective and quick hold is required to keep the EPDM in place,

Bonding adhesive is applied to both the EPDM and the surface and allow to go touch dry.

Deck water based adhesive is more suited to wood and ply adhesion on the main area of the deck.

The reason why water based deck adhesive is used more commonly than bonding adhesive for DIY application is because the water based adhesive simplifies the application of the EPDM membrane, which can be laid straight onto it while it is still wet.

This makes it easier to correct mistakes with the ability to lift and replace the membrane on 2 to 3 occasions.

- The product must not be allowed to freeze.

- Keep out of reach of children.

The difference between bonding adhesive and water based or deck adhesive:

Used along the Gutter edge it sandwiches the EPDM roofing membrane eliminating penetration when fixing.

The Gutter back plate has to be installed prior to the membrane, the top of the plate has to be flush with the deck.

The EPDM will overhang approx 50mm , the front plate is then pushed under the hook of the back plate with the membrane sandwiched between the two, this will then clip into place forming a smooth finish.

Extruded and manufactured from virgin plastic which ensures a colour fast, non brittle, and identical profiles.

- Manufactured BSI Quality assured to a 99.9% accuracy.

Bonding Adhesive Aerosol - 750ml

Bonding Adhesive BA-2012 is a solvent based contact adhesive for bonding Firestone EPDM membranes to approved insulations in addition to wood, metal, masonry and other suitable substrates.

Application:

- Surfaces must be free of loose and foreign materials, oil, grease and cleaned with a brush or clean rag.

- Apply Bonding Adhesive BA-2012 as close to the same time as possible onto the surfaces to be adhered, this achieves a very similar drying time.

- The adhesive can be applied manually using a solvent resistant roller, or it can be  dispensed by means of a super-spreader.

3 Seam Tape 75mm Wide - For Rubber Roofing

75mm 3 seam tape for Firestone EPDM is a semi-cured EPDM Flashing laminated to cured Seam Tape.

The strip is designed to flash metal roof edging profiles, as specified in EPDM systems (Firestone).

Prior to use the EPDM surfaces and metal profiles must be prepared with QuickPrime Plus, using a QuickScrubber Plus compatible tool.
