    Nylon Insert Nut - 16mm

     

    Nylon insert nuts are an economical means of combatting loosening from vibration. A nylon neck situated at the top of the nut, is slightly narrower than the thread; as the nut is tightened, the nylon grips the corresponding thread.

    - Metric coarse thread DIN 985 Type T

    - The bolt threads into the nylon material located at the top of the hex nut

    - The nut then "self-locks" and prevents loosening from vibration

    - High tensile steel Grade 8.8

    - Zinc coated for corrosion resistance
